
Gabriela Heermans
Event Support Specialist
Gabriela graduated with a Master of Science from the Erasmus + Global-MINDS (Mobility, Inclusion, and Diversity in Society) program of the European Union and most recently a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vermont State University. Under a Fulbright research Grant she was awarded, she headed a research project to support the initiatives of organizations with humanitarian objectives in 2021. Gabriela has worked with families and youth as a school-based clinician with the Howard Center in Vermont and she works with resettled refugees with New England Survivors of Torture and Trauma (NESTT) at the University of Vermont. Gabriela provides comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment for resettled refugees and asylum seekers. Gabriela works as the Event Support Specialist for NCTTP and supports in coordinating Symposium event planning.
